Opening reception of Black Is Beautiful
Multimedia exhibit that pays tribute to Elombe Brath, Pan-African activist and artist. The opening reception featured performances by legendary jazz pianist Valerie Capers, NEA Jazz Master Jimmy Owens, multi-GRAMMY nominated percussionist Bobby Sanabria and others. Curated by Bob Gumbsand Cinque Brath. The exhibit remained open from February 25 to April 30
