Corcoran Holt
Corocoran Holt, a son of Washington, DC, began playing djembe and other West African percussions at the age of four as a member of Wo’se Dance Company under the tutelage of Baba Aidoo Holmes & Mahiri Ed- wards. As a keeper of the rhythm, Corcoran began his study of classical acoustic bass at age ten with the renowned DC Youth Orchestra (DCYOP). Corcoran quickly rose to become one of the world’s most in-demand bassists performing with a long list of musicians including Kenny Garrett, Frank Morgan, Benny Golson, Mulgrew Miller, and Vanessa Rubin among countless others.
