Alma Micic
Alma Micic was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. At 16 she began performing with a local quartet and soon became a featured vocalist with the Radio Bel- grade Big Band. In 1995 she received a scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music and graduated in 1999 with a BM in Jazz Performance. She moved to New York City in 2000 and has released three critically acclaimed albums, Introducing Alma (2004), Hours (2008) and Tonight (2013). She has appeared at venues such as the Jazz Standard, Iridium, Scullers Jazz Club in Boston and at festivals in this country and abroad. Alma recently returned from touring Spain and was hailed “as one of the greatest voices of the international jazz scene” by El Mundo.
