Innov Gnawa

Innov Gnawa consists of artists from different regions of Morocco, led by master Maalem Hassam Ben Jaafer, with the mission of keeping the ancient healing music of Gnawa alive. The Gnawa are a mystic Sufi order whose music combines ritual poetry, traditional melodies, and mesmerizing rhythms to create driving, spiritual songs. Usually performed in a “lila” (a night-long celebration dedicated to healing and trance) the hypnotic undertone of Innov music enraptures all.
