Sonia Manzano reads from The Revolution of Evelyn Serrano

Sonia Manzano signed copies of her latest novel “The Revolution of Evelyn Serrano” after her book reading tonight at the Bronx Music Heritage Center Laboratory. Sonia, who lived on Southern Boulevard as a child and grew up playing in  Crotona Park, read excerpts from her book, recounted the history of the Young Lords en El Barrio, and discussed her time playing Maria on Sesame Street!
