Sahar Muradi

Sahar Muradi is a New York-based writer, performer, and educator.
She is co-editor of One Story, Thirty Stories: An Anthology of Contemporary Afghan American Literature and co-founder of the Afghan American Artists and Writers Association. Sahar is a Kundiman Poetry Fellow, an AAWW Open City Fellow, and recipient of the 2016 Tracy Doris
Memorial Poetry Award. She is Director of Poetry Programs and Associate Director of Education at City Lore. She is also the curator of City Lore’s current exhibit, Poetic Voices of the Muslim World.
