Bronx Sounds: Music & Poetry Festival

Join us as we celebrate the diverse soundscape of the Bronx! Part of WHEDco’s Bronx Music @ Melrose event = FREE FUN for all ages!! With music, poetry, and dance by local artists, including: Frank Ocasio Band, Drew Torres Trio, Cumbalaya, Epos Albanian Dance, Ahenemaa Kete, Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts. Magic show by Omedini the Magician. Featuring City Lore’s POEMobile, with poetry of Boricua College poets curated by Nancy Mercado, including: José Angel Figueroa, Rafael Landrón, Nancy Mercado, Myrna Nieves, Luz Soliz. Performances by students of the BMHC’s Rhythm & Percussion, Salsa, and Capoeira classes. Free and Open to the public. Held at Boricua College.
