The Ozama River divides the City of Santo Domingo, and is an important vein of water that for years has been heavily polluted. It is transversal to the rich and the poor. At one extreme, you see marginalized neigbhorhoods and, on the other, yachts and ferries. Carribean Fantasy is a portrait of the communities outlined by this river. The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with Luis Rodriguez & Wilma Tamayo, two Dominican organizers and activists who have taken the lead in organizing the NYC Marcha VErde events. FREE!
