This panel discussion on Garifuna Music & Spirituality is hosted by Garifuna Music Artist Rhodel ‘Rhodee’ Castillo. Panelists include internationally acclaimed Parandero and Garifuna Artist Aurelio Martinez, Luz Soliz, author, educator and choreographer, Lucy Blanco, lead singer for the Garifuna Jazz Ensemble, and Andy Ordonez, Garifuna Drummer and Artist with the Garifuna Jazz Ensemble. The Residency by Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation, organized in partnership with The Afri-Garifuna Jazz Ensemble and Bronx Music Heritage Center, has been made possible with support from Chamber Music America through its Residency Endowment Fund.
